120 G-Star School of the Arts Students Take Part In NIKE Production On Their Campus Along With Tiger Woods, Michelle Wie, Rory McIlroy

Palm Springs, FL (3/21/2016) - G-Star School of the Arts (www.GStarSchool.org) once again get celebrity foot traffic on their campus thanks to a NIKE commercial shoot there. G-Star Studios? Sound Stage 1 played host to such sports celebrities as Tiger Woods, Michelle Wie and Rory McIlroy.

Many others that are also major golf tour winners were subjects in the first still photography shoot for NIKE at G-Star Studios. They have shot several film commercials on previous dates. Five film classes which included over 120 students from the G-Star School of the Arts for Film, Animation and Performing Arts were on stage and given personal instructions by the director, producer and world famous American photographer, Carlos Serrao.

According to Wikipedia, Carlos Serrao is best known for bringing intense sports action to high fashion distinct look that elevates his subjects to visual stardom. His crisp light and subtle color palette have illuminated the faces of Jack Nicholson, Will Ferrell, Michael Jordan, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Kobe Bryant and have brought him a list of advertising and editorial clients including Sony, NIKE, GQ, TIME, Visa, and the Olympics. G-Star students got to see his work first hand.

The NIKE public relations director said ?The students were great! They were so attentive and respectful and asked great questions. We?ll definitely be back here again,? said Greg Hauptner, Founder & CEO of G-Star School of the Arts. ?It?s experiences like this that add to our students forward and creative thinking as they learn from the best,? added Hauptner.

The students were shown how the massive photography set was designed, how the lighting was set up, the types of cameras that were used, and how the cameras work both technically and artistically. The students had a fantastic time on set learning from the top professionals in the business. They appreciated being on set with a world famous photographer. Most commercials produced at the G-Star Studios in the G-Star Sound Stage 1 are film productions. This training in still photography was particularly instructive and timely as several G-Star students have won world-wide still photography competitions. ?Learning from Carlos Serrao was indeed an honor and a once-in-a-lifetime event?, he said.
