Launch of Alexander American University MBBS Program

Alexander American University in Guyana, South America launches its MBBS program. The undergraduate MBBS course at the University is housed at the state-of-the-art campus in Georgetown which provides high-quality education in the field of medicine.

The Alexander American University team at Guyana say that they have been expanding their MBBS venture by including up-to-date, advanced technology and laboratories to enable students achieve more in their time spent studying there.

The University, which will begin accepting students in for the year 2016, is dedicated to educating students in the medical field, nurturing the future generation of physicians who will advance with the highest standards of aptitude, empathy, professionalism and social responsibility in their field. AAU?s broader aim is to make sure students grow holistically by providing them with a clear path towards gaining success in the field of Medicine.

The MBBS course comprises three phases ? Pre medical (first 18 months), Preclinical (2 years) and Clinical Rotations (last 2 years). Students will be given the choice between the Normal pathway and USA pathway. Normal pathway is where the Premedical, Preclinical and Clinical are completed in Guyana only. In USA pathway, the Premedical and Preclinical are pursued in Guyana and Clinical can be completed in USA.
