Awtomated today introduced the Language Business Operating System (LBOS), a single platform where language service providers (LSPs) run their whole business on one connected record, from clients and quotes to projects, vendors, translation, interpreting and invoicing. The LBOS is what Awtomated's platform has become after 18 releases since July, and it is built so that a step in one part of the business moves the rest.

Most small and mid-sized LSPs still run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, email, task boards and accounting tools, each with its own copy of the truth. A translation management system (TMS) manages the translation workflow and a translation business management system (TBMS) manages the business around it, but the handoffs between sales, delivery, vendors and finance still happen by hand. That is where time, margin and cash get lost. Like a computer's operating system, an LBOS gives every app the same foundation, so information is entered once and moves with the work.

Awtomated describes the LBOS in three layers. Manage Work, available today, puts the whole business on one record: timesheets with approvals, a built-in Drive, tickets, and client requests that capture interpreting details such as medical specialty or booth needs. A new Home shows each person what is waiting on them, the Command Center (Cmd/Ctrl + K) finds anything from any page, and assigning a vendor now creates the purchase order instantly.

Understanding work turns that record into answers. Reports for sales, finance and operations can be filtered inside Awtomated, and every project now has its own profit and loss from the moment it is created, so margin is visible while the work is still running. Orchestrate Work adds automation that follows the real steps of a project workflow, for example sending medical assignments only to qualified interpreters.

Translation tools sit inside the LBOS as apps rather than as a separate system: translation memory, machine translation through official DeepL and Microsoft partnerships, and an editor that opens more than 20 file formats. Extending the same foundation to subtitling, transcription and other language services is where Awtomated is heading next. The platform and the new website are live now, and the Language Business OS page sets out the three layers and what is available today at https://awtomated.com/lbos/
