Kia India Expands Automatic Choice for Carens Clavis Customers with New Value Trims

New Delhi, India, 17 September 2026: Kia India, one of the country's leading mass-premium automakers, today announced the introduction of new automatic transmission options for the Carens Clavis value trims, making the convenience of automatic mobility accessible to a wider set of customers. The expanded line-up introduces the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with DCT on the HTE (EX) and HTE (O) trims, along with a 1.5-litre diesel engine with automatic transmission on the HTE (O) trim.

Kia India is expanding automatic transmission choices across both petrol and diesel powertrains, enabling customers to choose a combination that best aligns with their driving requirements, preferences and budgets.

The expansion of the Carens Clavis line-up responds to the evolving preference of Indian customers towards automatic transmissions, particularly for the convenience they offer across everyday urban driving conditions.

The HTE (EX) and HTE (O) trims will now be available with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a DCT, while customers opting for diesel will have the choice of the 1.5-litre diesel engine with an automatic transmission on the HTE (O) trim.
