ViceVersa Tools Releases Windows Utility for Extracting Outlook OST Data to NSF Format

New Delhi, India, September 14, 2026 — ViceVersa Tools has added a Windows utility to its product catalog that extracts data from an Outlook OST file and writes it into the NSF format used by Lotus Notes-based mail clients. The release, distributed as a single installer named ViceVersa-OST-NSF-Converter.exe, is aimed at IT administrators and support teams who need offline Outlook data moved into an NSF-compatible system rather than left inside Outlook's local cache.

An OST file stores a synchronized offline copy of an Outlook mailbox and is tied to the profile that created it, which makes it unsuitable for transfer or long-term storage on its own. The new tool addresses this by loading the OST file, letting the user choose which folders or items to extract, and writing the selected data out as NSF. The company noted that the process moves in one direction only: an NSF file produced by the tool cannot be converted back into OST format using this product.

The application runs on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 and does not require Microsoft Outlook to be installed on the machine performing the extraction. According to the product page, the workflow is limited to three steps: load the source OST file, set NSF as the output format, and select a destination folder before running the export.

ViceVersa Tools said the utility is intended for situations such as an employee leaving an organization, a mailbox that needs to be rebuilt, or an IT department consolidating offline mail data into an NSF-based archive ahead of a system migration.

“Teams often get to a point that the offline Outlook data needs to get out of Outlook altogether, and this SKU provides them a direct, single-purpose path to NSF without having to purchase a larger suite,” a company spokesperson said.

The product is sold under a tiered licensing model. A free trial version can be installed using the catalogue installer to enable users to try out the conversion workflow before buying. The Personal licence is $29 for a single machine with 1 year of updates. The Professional licence is $99 for a lifetime licence for five machines and the Technician licence is $299 for unlimited activations on machines. All the tiers use the same installer, with differences in machine count and licence duration.

ViceVersa Tools is marketing the release as a targeted addition to its existing set of format-conversion tools, not as a general-purpose migration suite, continuing the company’s pattern of building single-format-pair utilities for specific IT and data-recovery scenarios.
