Union Bank of India Organizes Home Loan Awareness Campaign

Mumbai, September 7, 2026. Union Bank of India organized Home Loan Awareness Campaign targeting Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low Income Groups (LIG), and Middle-Income Groups (MIG) on September 4, 2026, at the Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC Chamber of Commerce, Mumbai. Shri S Ramasubramanian, Executive Director of the Bank, Shri B P Das, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head of Mumbai Zone, Dr. Renu K Nair, General Manager, Retail Assets Vertical, Shri Ashwani Kumar Sinha, Regional Head, Mumbai (South) and other officials of the Bank were present on the occasion.

The campaign was organized under the theme 'अपना घर, अपना सपना' (Our Home, Our Dream) - the initiative focused on bringing accessible housing credit directly to prospective home buyers.

Representatives of 15 builders and more than 300 home buying aspirants participated in the event. In-Principle Sanction Letters were also issued to some of the home loan applicants.

Speaking on the occasion Shri S Ramasubramanian, Executive Director of the Bank emphasized the bank's commitment to financial inclusion through asset creation and the role of public sector banks in supporting urban housing needs.

Shri B P Das, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head of Mumbai Zone welcomed the gathering and outlined the bank's local outreach efforts across the Mumbai region.

Dr. Renu K Nair, General Manager, Retail Assets Vertical presented the features of the special loan campaign and elucidated on various other benefits and facilities like waiver of processing fee, flexible transaction-based income evaluation, competitive credit-score linked interest rates and financing options for home repairs and renovations.

Shri Ashwani Kumar Sinha, Regional Head, Mumbai (South) proposed a vote of thanks.
