Deepti Malhotra of Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh Honoured with Shikshak Mahakumbh – State Teachers’ Awards 2026

5th September, 2026: Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh, celebrated the achievement of Ms Deepti Malhotra, PGT Computer Science, who was honoured with the Shikshak Mahakumbh – State Teachers’ Awards 2026 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The honour acknowledged her contribution to education and her efforts towards preparing students to engage thoughtfully with the changing digital landscape.

Over the years, Ms Malhotra has conducted several workshops and awareness sessions for students on cyber safety and cyber ethics. These sessions covered issues such as privacy, digital footprints, online conduct and the precautions to follow while using social media and other online platforms. She has also introduced students to relevant applications of Artificial Intelligence through classroom learning, while encouraging them to assess information, ask questions and use emerging tools with sound judgement.

Her work also contributed to the school’s efforts to become an AI- and cyber-safe school, while helping students develop the awareness and judgement needed to use digital tools responsibly.
