Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders Builds Momentum with their Performances in Pro Govinda League Season 4

Mumbai, 27 August 2026: Making a strong mark with teamwork, and competitive spirit, Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders (VMA), spearheaded by Aspect Sports, have shown a great performance in the Season 4 of the Pro Govinda League. After the first five rounds, Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders have secured 3,500 cumulative points and currently stand 10th in the league standings, showcasing the ability to rise to the challenge across varied formats.

Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders opened with Round 1 – “Udaan Ka Aghaaz”, a high-speed challenge featuring 50 players and five-layer pyramids. They completed the challenge in an impressive 10.04 seconds, securing third place and 500 points.

In Round 2 – “Tower Ka Dangal”, the intensity and complexity increased, with 75 players taking on six-layer pyramids. Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders clocked 15.62 seconds and secured 1,000 points, finishing first in the round, and consequently claimed the maximum points on offer.

Round 3 saw the team go head-to-head with Alibaug Knights in a direct battle. Despite narrowly missing out on the win, they put up a competitive fight and walked away with 700 points.

The team responded with a strong showing in Round 4 – the Relay Round, a demanding format combining five-, six- and seven-layer pyramids. The challenge required each ascent to begin only after the respective runner had successfully passed the baton to the topper, with the final runner completing the run and pressing the button to register the official time.

The team responded with a strong showing in Round 5 – the Face-Off Round, completing the challenge in 29.16 seconds to beat Hyderabad Dynamos, who finished in 30.56 seconds. Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders’ strong performance earned them the maximum 1,000 points.

In Round 6 – "Concur", Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders showcased their fearless mindset by taking on one of the most daring and technically demanding formations of the tournament: the Power 17 (6-4-3-1-1-1-1). While the ambitious attempt narrowly fell short of securing a quarter-final berth, the team’s willingness to take bold risks under pressure won immense admiration from fans and competitors alike.
