DataVare Adds Live Preview and Granular Export Controls in Latest Software Update

New Delhi, India, August 25, 2026 — DataVare, a developer of data recovery, conversion, and migration tools, has rolled out version 2.0 across its product line, introducing a live preview option, selective and advanced export controls, and support for macOS. The update responds to recurring requests from IT administrators and independent users who manage email and file conversions across mixed operating systems, according to the company.

With version 2.0, users can view the contents of a file within the application window before deciding whether or not to convert or migrate it, a feature the company says was driven by customer requests to avoid having to run partial exports simply to verify accuracy. The new selective export option allows the user to choose individual files, folders or date ranges instead of processing the whole file and the new advanced export options give more control over the output format, file splitting and destination structure. Most of the DataVare suite is now available on Apple hardware for the first time, filling an important gap for teams that work in mixed Windows and Mac environments. While that development work is being done, Mac support for its NSF conversion tools (which are Windows-only for now) is not yet available, the company said.

Internal testing before release found that users performing selective exports on large mailboxes shaved their processing time by nearly a third from full exports in the previous version, as only the selected data is processed rather than the full file set.

“Customers kept telling us they wanted to see what they were converting before it happened, not after,” said Smera Katoch, product lead at DataVare. "Preview and selective export both come straight from that feedback, and getting the tools to Mac users has been on our list for a long time."

The version 2.0 update is now available as a free upgrade for existing license holders and is included in new purchases across the DataVare product range. Users who want to try the new features before upgrading can still access trial versions with limited conversion numbers.
