Ajay Ajmera, Founder and CEO of Ajmera Fashion Ltd., one of Surat's leading textile and ethnic fashion companies, is set to strengthen the city's presence at Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 by bringing together 60 textile vendors from Surat. Positioned as one of India's largest multi-sectoral business and trade expos, the event is scheduled from August 12 to 15, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Jointly organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation and the Confederation of All India Traders, the Mahotsav is built around the Swadeshi movement and its core theme, "Made in India. Made for India. Made for the World." Held in pursuance of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, the event aims to boost domestic manufacturing.

As a Work Partner for the event, Ajay Ajmera has taken on a significant role and is putting together an exhibition space of 10,000 square feet, with a prominent, special area of 4,000 square feet for the "Ajmera Pavilion." The pavilion represents a departure from conventional over-the-counter retail and will serve as a means of promotion and display for special premium fabrics and other innovations that hail from Surat.

The 60 exhibitors represent a wide spectrum of product categories, highlighting the depth and versatility of Surat's textile ecosystem. These businesses include both established and emerging entrepreneurs, with a strong representation of women-led enterprises, reflecting the industry's growing diversity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Speaking on the initiative, Ajay Ajmera said, "Surat's textile ecosystem relies heavily on grassroots entrepreneurship, but smaller manufacturers rarely secure the national exposure they deserve. The Ajmera Pavilion serves as a unified demonstration of our city's industrial scale rather than just being a product showcase. We want national corporate buyers, institutional investors, and retail stakeholders to see the scale, diversity, and innovation driving our city's factories."

This initiative opens direct commercial routes between Surat's apparel factories and pan-India distribution chains. By gathering 60 independent suppliers inside a single major pavilion, the effort creates a direct link between Surat's manufacturers and buyers from across the country, helping businesses reach new markets faster. This setup aligns with the core goals of the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026. As a multi-sector, Swadeshi-focused manufacturing expo, the Delhi event helps local businesses find new buyers, secure domestic supply networks, and scale their sales into international markets.

With final logistical arrangements concluding for the Delhi exhibition, the Ajmera Pavilion's setup encapsulates Surat's efforts to reinforce its status as India's premier textile and apparel centre. By bringing the vendors together on a single platform, it demonstrates the city's manufacturing potential and facilitates new business collaborations.
