Assam, India, August 05, 2026: Aahwahan Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its Assam Flood Relief 2026 mission to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to families affected by severe flooding across Assam. As floodwaters continue to disrupt thousands of lives, the Foundation has deployed more than 200 dedicated volunteers and staff to the affected villages of Jorhat, Teok, and Sonari. Through this initiative, the organisation is supporting rescue efforts and distributing 10,000 emergency grocery and medical relief kits to vulnerable families who have lost access to food, healthcare, and other essential services.

Mr. Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO & Founder of Aahwahan Foundation Said, “Every disaster reminds us of the importance of standing together as one community. Our volunteers are working tirelessly to reach families in remote flood-affected areas with essential relief materials that can help them meet their immediate needs. We are grateful to our CSR partners, donors, and local communities whose support enables us to respond quickly and bring hope where it is needed most.”

The emergency relief kits have been carefully assembled to address the immediate nutritional, hygiene, and primary healthcare requirements of affected households. Each kit contains rice, dal, poha, instant noodles, cooking oil, detergent, toothpaste, bathing soap, mosquito coils, dry food items, and basic medicines for diarrhoea, fever, and the common cold. These supplies are intended to help families cope with the challenges of displacement and limited access to essential resources during the ongoing flood emergency.

Floods in Assam continue to affect communities across multiple districts, leaving many families without reliable access to food, clean water, medical care, and safe shelter. Recognising the urgency of the situation, Aahwahan Foundation mobilised its emergency response teams immediately to deliver timely assistance and extend support to the most vulnerable communities, including children, women, senior citizens, and daily wage earners.

Working in close coordination with local communities and volunteers, the Foundation is ensuring that relief reaches remote villages where access remains difficult due to inundated roads and damaged infrastructure. The ongoing relief mission reflects Aahwahan Foundation's commitment to delivering rapid, transparent, and community-focused disaster response during times of crisis.

Beyond immediate relief, the Foundation remains dedicated to supporting affected families as they begin the process of recovery and rebuilding their lives. By collaborating with compassionate individuals, corporate partners, and community stakeholders, Aahwahan Foundation aims to strengthen resilience and ensure that vulnerable communities receive the assistance they need to recover with dignity.

As the Assam Flood Relief 2026 mission continues, Aahwahan Foundation invites individuals, organisations, and CSR partners to join hands in extending life-saving support to families facing the devastating impact of the floods. Together, collective action can help restore hope, protect lives, and build stronger communities for the future.
