Bhopal, India, July 31, 2026: Aaroyaa, India’s first women-led sustainable tableware company, today announced the launch of a 100% biodegradable tableware range crafted by local artisans. In a bid to curb single-use plastic, Aaroyaa’s products offer an Eco -friendly biodegrable tablewere alternative that naturally composts within 60–90 days. The new collection includes disposable plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery made from sugarcane bagasse and leaf fibers, meeting the needs of caterers, restaurants, and eco-conscious consumers.

Each item is food-safe, PFAS-free, and chemical-free. Aaroyaa’s manufacturing process cleans and heat-molds raw bagasse or areca leaf without bleach or additives, resulting in utensils that are leak-resistant and heat-tolerant up to 200°C. “We designed our tableware to be durable and premium-looking, yet fully eco-conscious,” said founder Megha Agrawal. “Every time we choose sustainability, we choose a healthier tomorrow – for our families, for other women, and for our planet.”

Empowering Women: Proudly women-led and impact-driven, each purchase supports 50+ female artisans in India. Aaroyaa’s production line diverts 100% of plant-waste from landfills, generating “0% plastic waste” in manufacturing.

Aaroyaa’s collection enters the market just as plastic bans and sustainability policies accelerate. According to industry research, growing plastic pollution awareness and government regulations have driven a 7.8?GR in eco-friendly tableware globally. In India, local leaders like Ecoware have already proven demand: Ecoware’s products, made entirely from plant waste, fully biodegrade in 90 days while safely handling –20 to 180°C. Aaroyaa aims to expand this impact by offering similarly high-quality, certified compostable options targeted at home consumers, caterers, and businesses.

“People don’t mind paying a bit extra for healthier options,” notes Rhea Singhal of Ecoware. Aaroyaa’s pricing and supply aims to be competitive, making sustainable dining affordable for families and small enterprises.

Product Usage Experience

Many customers have swapped plastic for Aaroyaa with great satisfaction. One happy user writes: “Amazing quality! These recycled spoons and plates feel very sturdy and premium. They held up a 120°C curry with no leaks. Friends didn’t even notice they were compostable until we mentioned it – then they loved it!”.
In practice, Aaroyaa tableware has been used for everything from corporate lunches to family picnics. For example, an eco-conscious caterer in Delhi replaced plastic with Aaroyaa plates for a 200-guest event and reported “zero plate breakage, and the festival organizers were thrilled to reduce plastic waste”. Afterward, the used tableware was collected for composting. Customers note that the natural fibers can be rinsed and even re-washed once or twice, but they prefer composting them immediately to close the loop.

Many families find it easy to integrate: simply toss used Aaroyaa dishes into a green bin or backyard composter. Within weeks, the leftovers and fiber base turn into nutritious soil. In one backyard test, Aaroyaa’s 10-inch bagasse plate had lost 90% of its structure after just 8 weeks in a compost heap, leaving only organic ash. This real-world usage shows that switching to biodegradable tableware makes sustainable living practical and satisfying.
