IIIT-Delhi Faculty Dr Sayan Basu Roy Conferred with INAE Young Engineer Award 2026

28th July, 2026: Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) is pleased to announce that Dr. Sayan Basu Roy, faculty in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, has been selected to receive the INAE Young Engineer Award 2026 in the Electrical Engineering category by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE). The award will be presented later this year.

The INAE Young Engineer Award is among India's most prestigious recognitions for early-career engineers. It honours outstanding young engineers for excellence in engineering research, design, technology development, and innovation with the potential for significant future impact. As part of the honour, Dr. Basu Roy will also be inducted as an INAE Young Associate, joining a distinguished community of young engineering researchers and innovators in the country.

Dr. Basu Roy's research focuses on developing adaptive control algorithms that enable autonomous systems, such as robots and intelligent vehicles, to learn and operate reliably in uncertain environments.

The recognition highlights Dr. Basu Roy's contributions to engineering research and reflects IIIT-Delhi's continued commitment to fostering excellence in research and innovation.
