Isuzu Motors India has quietly brought the 2026 V-Cross lifestyle pick-up to India. This update does not try to change everything, but makes the truck more focused and sharper in ways that matter to buyers looking for a capable 4x4 truck ready for work and fun.
Among the highlights of the updates, the V-Cross is being positioned more prominently. The variant lineup now comes with four-wheel drive as standard. Isuzu has discontinued the two-wheel-drive (4×2) option entirely, making the model completely dedicated to off-road capability in this segment. Prices for the updated model start at Rs 25.50 lakh and go up to Rs 30.28 lakh on an ex-showroom basis, depending on the trim and transmission choice.
Design changes are small but noticeable. The 2026 V-Cross gets a bolder grille with blacked-out elements, and the bumper has been restyled with reduced cladding for a cleaner look. The side profile looks sharper too, thanks to new 18-inch wheels. Some of the heavy plastic from before has been removed, giving the truck a more streamlined feel, like it wants to be sporty, but not over the top.
Inside, the new V-Cross gets updates here too, and they are fairly meaningful. The previous 9-inch infotainment screen has been replaced by a 10.3-inch floating touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims feature an eight-speaker audio setup and richer trim materials that lend a more refined feel without overcomplicating the interior.
Under the bonnet, the V-Cross continues with its tried and tested 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel engine, producing around 161 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. The transmission also remains the same, available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The 4×4 system includes features like shift-on-the-fly capability and an auto-locking differential to help tackle rough terrain. There is no mechanical overhaul here, but the drivetrain’s continued refinement and the standard 4×4 setup give the V-Cross a clear identity as a serious off-road-ready lifestyle truck.
Safety and comfort have not been overlooked either. The updated V-Cross comes equipped with six airbags, stability and traction control, cruise control, and keyless entry. Practical touches like a tyre pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera make it easier to live with on a daily basis, while its rugged build and drivetrain keep it confident on unsealed roads.
Even in 2026, the model continues to compete directly with other premium lifestyle pickups in India, notably the Toyota Hilux. The V-Cross has been refreshed in design, gets an improved feature list, and the decision to make four-wheel drive standard gives it a clearer identity for buyers looking for a capable, feature-rich pick-up.
