UrjanovaC is proud to announce its recent victory at the Carbon Capture Technology Hackathon 2025, a prestigious national-level innovation challenge organized by Coal India Limited – Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal.

The hackathon brought together some of India’s brightest innovators, researchers, and startups to accelerate the development of scalable carbon capture solutions, a critical pillar of India’s climate action roadmap and long-term decarbonization strategy.

UrjanovaC showcased its first-of-its-kind, indigenous, water-based Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, designed to efficiently and sustainably capture atmospheric CO₂. The solution reflects UrjanovaC’s commitment to delivering practical, scalable climate technologies tailored for India’s industrial and environmental needs.

The award was formally presented during the Star Rating Award Ceremony, in the esteemed presence of Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Shri Gangapuram Kishan Reddy, along with Minister of State Shri Satish Chandra Dubey and Secretary Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, underscoring the national importance of innovation-led climate solutions.
