MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Creativity), a leading creative education institute, has launched two groundbreaking academic programs - Career X and Creator X - aimed at better preparing students for the modern digital and creative industries. These programs were unveiled during MAAC's 25th anniversary celebrations and the 24FPS Creator Fest.

The goal of these initiatives is to offer a more practical, industry-aligned education for learners studying animation, visual effects, gaming, and digital content creation. Instead of just classroom theory, the programs blend foundational knowledge with real-world skills and specialised pathways.

A key feature of the new structure is industry collaboration. MAAC has partnered with 13 leading organisations - including Cimpress (VistaPrint's parent company), PhysicsWallah, Godspeed Gaming, Pocket Films, phantomFX, Rocket Science Animation, and others - to build courses that reflect current industry needs. In addition, Canon has joined as a knowledge partner specifically for the Creator X curriculum.

What These Programs Offer

Career X focuses on preparing students for employment in the AVGC-XR industries (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics, Extended Reality) and related digital content roles.

Creator X is designed for aspiring content creators and storytellers. It gives students hands-on training in areas such as short-form video, digital comics, AI-based workflows, multi-platform publishing, branding, monetisation, and intellectual property rights - essential skills in today's creator economy.

Both programs emphasise real projects, industry practices, and mentorship from professionals, helping students transition smoothly into careers - whether in studios, digital companies, or as independent creators.

According to MAAC leadership, these offerings are meant to boost employability, deepen technical expertise, and give students a competitive edge by aligning their training with actual industry workflows and expectations.

Overall, MAAC's Career X and Creator X represent a significant step toward bridging the gap between traditional education and the dynamic needs of the creative and digital content ecosystem.
