Immediate intervention by UN and human rights organizations is required on the oppression and killings of Hindus in Bangladesh

New Delhi, 21 December 2025: In protest against the continuous killings, religious persecution, and grave human rights violations against the Hindu community in Bangladesh, a demonstration was organized in Naveen Shahdara, North-East District of Delhi. United Hindu Front and Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena jointly submitted a memorandum addressed to the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres, the Prime Minister of India, the Union Home Minister, the Union External Affairs Minister, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh High Commission. Through this memorandum, a strong demand was raised to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh and for immediate international intervention.

Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, International Working President of United Hindu Front and National President of Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena, Mr. Jai Bhagwan Goyal, stated that the Hindu community in Bangladesh is being forced to live in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. Frequent incidents of killings, loot, attacks on religious places, and persecution are a blot on humanity. The recent brutal murder of Dipu Chandradas clearly proves that the situation has become extremely grave and that this is not merely the killing of an individual, but a direct attack on the very existence of the entire Hindu community.

Mr. Goyal said that the silence of the United Nations (UNO) and international human rights organizations on this serious issue is deeply unfortunate. Global platforms that claim to protect human rights remaining silent on the suffering of minority Hindus exposes their double standards. United Hindu Front and Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena demanded that the UN exert pressure on the Bangladesh government to ensure strict security for the life and property of Hindus, immediately stop religious persecution, and take stringent action against the perpetrators. They also demanded clarification as to why no concrete intervention has taken place so far.

He further urged the Government of India to adopt a firm and decisive diplomatic stance on the issue of Bangladeshi Hindus and to bring those Hindus who are continuously facing persecution to India and provide them protection under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He emphasized that the Government of India must send a strong message to the world that if any Sanatani Hindu is threatened, intimidated, or oppressed anywhere in the world, India will stand firmly for their protection.

Mr. Goyal also stated that the silence of major opposition parties and their leaders on the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh is questionable. Remaining silent on such a sensitive issue hurts the sentiments of crores of Hindus.
He categorically stated that peace-loving Sanatani Hindus have the right to live with dignity, and if any attempt is made to snatch this right, the Hindu community will not tolerate it under any circumstances. In conclusion, a strong appeal was made to the UN Secretary-General and the Prime Minister of India to take immediate action on this issue and provide justice and reassurance to the aggrieved Hindu community.
