IBN-Lokmat Presents An Stimulating Episode Of Great Bhet With Bhimrao Gasti

IBN-Lokmat brings for its viewers an inspiring episode of Great Bhet. This episode will showcase a man of many facets Bhimrao Gasti. He is well-known for his work to save the Devdasi community and help them overcome all odds and live their life respectfully. Gasti will share his jarring journey with Nikhil Wagle, Editor, IBN-Lokmat in an exclusive Great Bhet on Saturday, 30th October 2010 at 9:30 pm.

Gasti narrates the story of his life and the obstacles he faced during his struggling days. He throws light on the facts of how he started his struggle from schooling to college to higher studies, and how he left a well paying job and came back to Belgaum. He talks about the history of his community and the pre British era and how the Britishers mistreated them and called them criminals.

For the past 3 decades Gasti is engaged in the upliftment of Berad-Ramosh community. Bhimrao also provides vocational training for Devdasis girls so as provide them employment. He has established an NGO Uthan Sansthan. He has devoted his life for the rehab of the Ramoshi community. His devotion and his work got expanded and has changed the social scenario in Karnataka Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
