Braving the monsoon rains with unstoppable energy and enthusiasm, over 1,000+ citizens from all walks of life came together for a cause that matters—health, awareness, and a cleaner planet. On the occasion of National Vascular Day, India News Haryana, one of the key channels under the iTV Network umbrella, successfully hosted a 3-kilometre Walkathon in Panchkula. The initiative, part of the 'Run for Fun' campaign, which was conducted in collaboration with Alchemist Hospital and Ojas Hospital, with active support from environmental campaign partner I HATE POLYTHENE.

From electrifying dance-led warm-ups to energizing yoga sessions under the open skies, the atmosphere at the Walkathon was nothing short of electric. This Walkathon turned into a celebration of community spirit, uniting schoolchildren, senior citizens, fitness enthusiasts, and families in a shared mission for health and sustainability. Inspiring insights from top doctors and passionate environmental crusaders stirred both minds and hearts. Renowned vascular surgeon Dr. Ankur Aggarwal delivered a stirring address on the urgent need for early diagnosis and preventive lifestyle changes, calling it the only way to stem the rising tide of vascular diseases. The event was ceremoniously flagged off by Panchkula's Civil Surgeon, Dr. Mukta Kumar, whose address resonated with purpose as she praised the overwhelming public response and issued a clarion call to reduce plastic use as a vital step toward a cleaner, healthier planet. The moment served not just as a flag-off, but as a symbolic green signal to a movement that promises to travel far beyond the streets of Panchkula.

This Walkathon aimed to shed light on the often-overlooked but life-threatening issue of vascular diseases, which, if left untreated, can lead to avoidable amputations. It not only created a resounding impact in terms of health awareness but also promoted sustainable living by encouraging participants to adopt eco-friendly habits.

Dr. Aishwarya Pandit Sharma, Chairperson of iTV Foundation, expressed immense pride in the outcome, stating, "What we saw in Panchkula was powerful. Over a thousand people walked for a cause that matters. It shows us that awareness works when it becomes action. Now is the time to take this to more cities, reach more people, and build a movement that prioritizes health and the environment together."

The 'Run for Fun' campaign reflects its commitment to purpose-led mission. As iTV Network plans to take this impactful initiative to other districts in Haryana, the Panchkula success story stands as a powerful template for public health advocacy and community-driven environmental awareness. The Walkathon proved that with the right intent and unified action, even rain becomes a celebration—and every step truly breaks a barrier.
