Honda Cars India crosses 1 lakh cumulative sales milestone of the bold & stylish Honda Elevate

Mumbai, February 25, 2025: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), a leading premium car manufacturer in India, has crossed 1 lakh cumulative sales milestone of its global SUV model Honda Elevate owing to its success both in the domestic as well as international market. The Elevate is exclusively made in India currently at HCIL’s manufacturing plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. The company has cumulatively sold 53,326 units of the Elevate in India and exported 47,653 units to countries including Japan, South Africa, Nepal & Bhutan till January’25.

The Elevate was first launched in India in Sept’23 and quickly became a strong business pillar for HCIL. The new offering successfully established itself in the competitive domestic SUV market sweeping away over 20 prestigious automobile industry awards including laurels such as Car of the Year, Viewer’s Choice Car of the Year, SUV of the Year etc. from leading media houses. The car has resonated well with its strong customer base and enjoys a high level of recommendation from them.

The Elevate has been the company’s first ever Made in India model exported to Japan which expanded its global reach and reinforced HCIL’s commitment to produce global quality cars from its manufacturing operations in India. Elevate is the largest export contributing model for HCIL. Since the start of exports of the Honda Elevate in 2023, it has helped the company to grow its export business by 65% in FY’23-24 and by over 92% in the ongoing financial year (Apr’24-Jan’25 period).
