New Delhi, 9 December 2024: The launch ceremony for the latest essay collection, Kahani Ka Raasta, by senior poet-storyteller, World Stage Director, and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Shri Santosh Choubey, was held at the Vanmali Auditorium at Scope Global Skills University in Bhopal. The event was graced by numerous distinguished guests.

During the launch, Shri Santosh Choubey, while recalling 'Vanmali Ji', reflected on the nature of storytelling. He emphasized that the journey of a story is never a straightforward one. "It is a dynamic path," he remarked, "weaving through memories, minds, and moments—sometimes winding like mountain trails, other times racing across open plains." Notably, this book includes significant critical essays such as 'Kahani Ka Raasta', 'Aaj ki Kahani, 'Kahani Kaha Hai?', 'Kahani me prem', 'Kahani me Drishya Vidhan', Shabdo ke paar arth ki talash, 'Katha Bhopal', 'Kahani me nayepan ki talaash', 'Hindi kahani ke do sau baras, and 'Vigyan Kahaniyo ke adbudh sansaar'.

Shri Santosh Choubey, speaking about new writers, said that new writers need to be listened to with affinity. Often, critics criticize a new writer's work in such a way that the new writer feels trampled. This shrinks the creative world of Hindi. We should always welcome new writers. The responsibility of refining new writers should lie with senior writers and critics.

Presiding over the launch ceremony organized by AISECT Publications, Scope Global Skills University, and Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Prof. Vinod Tiwari, a renowned critic, editor, and supporter from New Delhi, said that in the literary world, criticism is like an institution. Editing is like an institution. Criticism is never written keeping the reader at the center. It orients the reader. It acts as a catalyst for the reader to read the creation. 'Kahani Ka Raasta' is an important book in this direction.

JNU's senior critic Prof. Devendra Chaubey said that an important task of a critic is to document the creative work of their time from a critical perspective. In that sense, 'Kahani Ka Raasta' is an exceptional book of critical documentation. It is an important example of creative prose.

Noted storyteller and Delhi University Associate Professor Dr. Ashutosh said that Santosh Choubey's book is written in a conversational language style. He has written it not like an omniscient teacher, but like a reader. He does not carry the burden of concept but takes the reader along with him.

Senior storyteller and Chairman of Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Bhopal, Shri Mukesh Verma said that in the book 'Kahani Ka Raasta', while the story is at the center, it talks about all other genres of literature, topics, and related issues. This book is a bouquet of creative thoughts.

Senior poet and Chairman of Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Delhi, Shri Leeladhar Mandloi said that this is a vibrant book about stories. The artistic elements of the arts of our time have been intensely incorporated in this book. The reader has been located and given importance. This book is free from academic rigidity. It highlights and raises the important questions of its time. It is a speaking book. It is about the storytelling of a story.

The event was orchestrated by young storyteller Shri Kunal Singh, with welcome remarks by Ms. Jyoti Raghuvanshi, the National Coordinator of Vanmali Srijan Peeth. The launch drew significant participation from Bhopal's literary community, including writers, literature enthusiasts, and young creatives.

Published by AISECT Publications in collaboration with Scope Global Skills University and Vanmali Srijan Peeth, 'Kahani Ka Raasta' promises to be a significant contribution to contemporary Hindi literary discourse.
