Smile Welfare Foundation Renovates Drinking Water Overhead Tank at Mamandur Government Higher Secondary School

Tiruvannamalai: The Smile Welfare Foundation has undertaken a significant renovation project for the overhead drinking water tank at Mamandur Government Higher Secondary School in the Tiruvannamalai district. With a budget of 2.9 lakh rupees, this initiative aims to provide 920 students with improved access to safe drinking water and promoted better sanitation and hygienic practices.

The renovation project, designed to ensure a continuous supply of clean drinking water, will directly benefit 440 girls and 520 boys from grades 6 to 12. By upgrading the water tank,
installing new pipelines and taps, and maintaining sanitation facilities, the project seeks to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and promote a healthier school environment.
