In the Oscar-Qualifying Hollyshorts category, 'ICONS' joins the ranks of fellow short films such as 'The After' The Last Repair Shop’ ‘Knight of Fortune’ and 'Red, White and Blue' – all of which went on to be nominated at the 96th Annual Academy Awards.
The debut documentary from the Women in Cloud organization ‘ICONS’ has been selected to screen in the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival on August 10, 2024, at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Coming from Executive Producers Chaitra Vedullapalli, President & Co-Founder of Women in Cloud and TEDxSpeaker, and Michelle Pruitt, Director of Strategy and Engineering at Microsoft and TEDx Speaker, the film examines the current state of the gender gap in the Cloud and AI-driven economy through the experiences of 19 women leaders, founders, and political figures in tech.
