Noida: The excitement for the 12th Global Festival of Journalism reached new heights as the first poster of the prestigious event was officially launched at a conference of the Global Media Education Council (GMEC) held at Marwah Studios. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts and President of GFJN, made the announcement during the national meet, highlighting the festival�s unique position as an event curated �Of The Journalists, By The Journalists, For The Journalists.�
Since its inception in 2012, the Global Festival of Journalism has evolved into a one-of-a-kind international extravaganza, gaining prominence as a comprehensive celebration for journalists worldwide. Dr. Sandeep Marwah shared insights into the festival�s planning and its journey to becoming a global phenomenon.
The festival encompasses a diverse range of activities related to journalism, including workshops, seminars, interactions, talks, poster launching, competitions, painting exhibitions, photography exhibitions, documentary screenings, and the presentation of awards such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Award for Journalism and Global Awards for Excellence in Journalism.
Adding a touch of vibrancy to the event are musical programs, Indian classical dances, an international fashion show, street plays, and a food festival, making it a colorful and engaging experience for attendees.
The unveiling of the first poster was a momentous occasion, marked by the presence of key dignitaries including the renowned music maestro Padma Shri Dr. Soma Ghosh, Prof. Ujjwal Anu Chowdhury (Vice President of GMEC), Ambrish Saxena (Secretary of GMEC), and Dr. Ajay Kumar (Festival Director).
The 12th Global Festival of Journalism promises to be a grand celebration, bringing together journalists, media professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world to exchange ideas, share experiences, and celebrate the spirit of journalism.
