AMD has unveiled its latest Pro series, including AMD Ryzen Pro 7000 Processors series processors for desktops and laptops. This latest lineup consists of six powerful chipsets designed for laptops and three high-performance chipsets tailored for desktops. These chips are packed with a wide range of enterprise-focused features and capabilities, making them an attractive option for businesses. Their primary goal is to deliver substantial performance improvements and enhanced power efficiency, making them an ideal choice for enterprise solutions.

AMD's Ryzen Pro 7000 chips, built on TSMC's 5 nm node with Zen 4 cores like the consumer Ryzen 7000 series, are strategically targeted toward businesses, SMEs, and professionals prioritizing integrated hardware-level security for safeguarding crucial data. While sharing the same core architecture with their desktop counterparts, these Ryzen Pro processors are optimized to maintain comparable levels of performance and efficiency.

Examining the specifications of each Ryzen Pro 7000 series model, we find that the Ryzen 9 Pro 7945 stands as the top-tier SKU, boasting nearly identical specifications to the Ryzen 9 7900. It houses 12 x Zen 4 cores, a base frequency of 3.7 GHz, a boost frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, and an ample 64 MB L3 cache. Similarly, the Ryzen 7 Pro 7745 mirrors the Ryzen 7 7700 processor, featuring a 3.8 GHz base and 5.3 GHz turbo frequencies, and 32 MB of L3 cache. This chip also encompasses eight high-performance and highly efficient Zen 4 cores. Moving on to the lowest-spec model in the trio, the Ryzen 5 Pro 7645, we encounter a processor akin to the Ryzen 5 7600 but equipped with AMD Pro features. It sports 6 x Zen 4 cores, a base frequency of 3.8 GHz, a boost frequency of 5.1 GHz, and 32 MB of L3 cache. All three processors in the Ryzen Pro 7000 series share a 65 W TDP, and they are equipped with 2 x RDNA 2 cores, providing an adequate yet functional integrated graphics solution for users without a discrete graphics card.

However, In its 2023 Ryzen Pro desktop models, AMD appears to have not introduced any new features to its Pro technology list. However, they continue to emphasize the existing Pro technologies, such as AMD Shadow Stack for protection against control-flow-based attacks and the Microsoft Pluton Security processor for cloud-based security with Windows 11. The AMD Memory Guard offers real-time encryption to safeguard against physical attacks in case of lost or stolen devices, while the AMD Secure Processor provides on-chip data protection. Also, both the Ryzen Pro 7000 desktop and AMD Ryzen 7040 Processors (HS/U) mobile series include these hardware-level Ryzen Pro security technologies. The Ryzen Pro 7000 desktop series supports DDR5 memory and is compatible with AMD's AM5 platform. Though specific chipsets within the AM5 family that support the Pro features are not confirmed, AMD assures that AM5 will also be compatible with the next-generation Ryzen 8000 series processors based on the Zen 5 microarchitecture, with support planned until 2026.
