Apple supplier Foxconn is Seeking New Cooperation in Semiconductor and EV Sectors in India

New Delhi [ForPressRelease] ? Taiwan based Apple supplier, Foxconn is on the hunt for new partners in India, seeking cooperation in the areas of chips, semiconductors and electric vehicles. These new opportunities came to the light after Foxconn?s Chief Executive Officer, Young Liu visited India for a brief period of time.

It seems that Taiwan?s Foxconn is very keen on expanding its operations in the South Asian region, and India emerges to be a favorite destination, particularly after facing last year?s critical supply disruptions in China. The company has overcome the disruptions challenges and now ready for new partnerships in new sectors.

In a statement, the company Chief Executive expressed his confidence in forging partnerships in the areas of chip and EV manufacturing. Young Liu is quite hopeful of deepening ties with Indian companies that can go a long way in the development and production of semiconductors and electric vehicles.

According to Young Liu, India?s large skilled population will prove to be conducive in making the country an EV manufacturing hub. Moreover, the government of India must act proactively to create beneficial development opportunities for all stakeholders for a sustainable business growth in the region.

Foxconn is one of the biggest contract manufacturers of electronics, and is best known for the manufacture of Apple?s iPhones. The company is now intending to expand in the area of contract manufacturing of Electric Vehicles and semiconductors and this could open up a new era of opportunities for Indian businesses, particularly those are in the areas of EVs and chip manufacturing.
