In their conference in Las Vegas, Cisco announced the latest addition to their data center networking technology i.e., Nexus cloud and 400G Network switches that allow enterprises to manage and monitor the data centers and public cloud networks that minimize the need for high bandwidth.
Cisco Announced A New Line of 400G Network Switches for Data Centers
The Nexus cloud and the new 400G Cisco Switches are designed to help enterprises and data centers manage networks across multi-cloud environments, offering enhanced performance that can fulfill today's data center requirements.
With the latest software tool, such as SaaS, the Nexus Cloud allows enterprises and data centers with real-time insights and helps manage the data centers across hybrid cloud networks through a single glass pane. Thomas Scheibe, vice president of product management for Cisco Cloud Networking, stated, "Customers like Nexus Dashboard a lot, and they are very successful with it," he further explained, "They said, 'This is great, but I still have to operate an appliance and make sure it's updated.' They asked, 'can you give us this as a cloud service? That's what Nexus Cloud is."
The executives at Cisco explained Nexus Cloud as the cloud-based version of Nexus Dashboard that allows the IT teams to ensure that data center devices remain interconnected across the network, offers real-time network visibility, and offers solutions for any problems that may arise in network connectivity or verification of data center policy that allows IT users to prepare for a power outage and ensure compliance.
Moreover, Cisco also announced the availability of their latest 400G Cisco Switches data center network switches that are compatible with 800G making it easier for users to migrate to 800 Gigabit Ethernet when the latest technology is available. Cisco Network Switches offer improved network capacity with more ports. IDC analyst Brad Casemore further claimed that with its cloud-based network management, Cisco could cater to the increasing demands of the enterprise network. Also, the Nexus cloud helps the IT teams manage, secure and monitor on-premises data and cloud networks.
Casemore further added, "It comes up in our discussions with enterprise customers who say, 'We need better visibility and observability into our network, so we can move toward a more proactive and preventative approach to providing connectivity and network security,'" He added, "They want one view of these hybrid environments in a way that allows them to achieve consistent operations. This is a trend in the industry, and Cisco is responding to that customer demand."
Data Center Switches and Nexus Cloud is believed to attract medium-sized enterprises and other consumers with intensive data usage who don't want to invest in Nexus Dashboard.
Cisco 400G Highlights
The 400G Cisco Switches, with their high density, can meet the high expectations of the users with their capability to redefine the data center economics with its power optimization, sustainability, high speed, and much more.
Cisco Nexus ensures that your data remains protected with streaming telemetry, MACsec, and advanced analytics.
It helps minimize operational costs by supporting 10/25G Ethernet and 8/16/32G Fibre Channel, RDMA over converged Ethernet (RoCE), and IP storage.
It offers high performance with intelligent buffers and zero packet drop for faster loading and processing
