Vetsa Rama Krishna Gupta took over the additional charge of Chairman and Managiy Director of (BPCL) on November 02, 2022. Gupta's elevation as new Chairman and MD came after Arun Kumar Singh was superannuated as CMD on 31st October, 2022.

Vetsa Rama Krishna Gupta has an illustrious career spanning over 24 years at BPCL in various Finance roles. V R K Gupta is also Director Finance BPCL and holds the additional charge of Director Human Resource (HR).

As far as Mr. Gupta?s educational background is concerned then he is Bachelor of Commerce and also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, 1998 batch.
Rama Krishna Gupta?s Leadership Role in the Company
o As a BPCL?s board member Mr. Gupta played a pivotal role in formulation and implementation of strategy towards sustainable growth for the company. This came in the backdrop of the paradigm shift taking place in the energy sector.
o Under his able leadership BPCL swiftly completed the merger of BORL (Bharat Oman Refinery Limited) and BGRL (Bharat Gas Resource Limited) (wholly owned subsidiaries of BPCL) with BPCL. It was a smooth amalgamation of BORL and BGRL employees into the BPCL family.

? Currently BPCL has three oil refineries in India, Mumbai, Kochi and Bina, MP with a combined refining capacity of around 35.3 MMTPA.
