Kolkata Police arresting the owner of Hindustan Enengineer for manufacturing Kent Fake spare parts

New Delhi The ENFORCEMENT BRANCH OF KOLKATA POLICE on Wednesday, arrested Mr. Vinay Shrivastava the Co-owner of HINDUSTAN ENGINEERS in New Delhi. The entity is owned by three brothers Vijay Srivastava, Ajay Srivastava and Vinay Srivastava. The entity and its owners are founder members of the well reputed manufacturer association of water purification industry of New Delhi WAPTEMA (WATER PURIFICATION & TREATMENT EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER ASSOCIATION). Mr. Vijay Srivastava is the President of WAPTEMA.

The ENFORCEMENT BRANCH OF KOLKATA POLICE on 28th July 2021 conducted consecutive raids in the three different locations in Kolkata in the premises of Glowmex India at J L Nehru Road, Galaxy Enterprise at New road press club & JJ Associate at Radhabazar Street and seized huge amount of Fake Spare Part of Kent Brand. Supplier name was revealed during interrogation of the above accused..

The enforcement branch was working on the leads gathered from interrogation of alleged infringers. The police thereafter obtained a search warrant from Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Kolkata and the Enforcement Branch of Kolkata police conducted a Raid in New Delhi at the premises of Hindustan engineers at 151, Vardhman Corporate Plaza, H-9, Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi -110034.

The team was led by Mr. Suvro Mitra (SI) and his team members. The team arrested Mr. Vinay Shrivastava the Co-owner of HINDUSTAN ENGINEERS and founder member of WAPTEMA .

The said entity was dealing with counterfeit Kent Ro Membrane & Inline sediment filter along with ancillary parts/ accessories. These were being unlawfully manufactured and sold under the identical brand name 'Kent' The manufacturer is unlawfully selling spare parts with Kent Brand Logo for quite a long time.

As per the report of Kolkata Police Delhi raid resulted in the seizure of fake Kent branded 750 Inline sediment filter, 750 pcs of Kent inline carbon filter, 250 pcs Kent RO membrane, 189 Diaphragm pumps & 25pcs outer boxes.

Revealing this information, the Kent RO?s brand custodian agency said that, ?It was observed that there is a large racket behind, duplicate spare parts were manufactured and supplied to various cities. The Entity in the guise of Founder member of the WAPTEMA, rolling out spurious products and is playing with the health of innocent consumers". Kent is aggressively pursuing the seizure of duplicate parts by appointing investigating agencies in all parts of India. More raids and seizure operations will be conducted soon to unearth this entire racket involved in counterfeit and duplicate product and spare parts of Water purifiers.
