Mumbai, August 9, 2021: GO FIRST (formerly known as GoAir) today introduced a range of sweets and savouries as part of the in-flight menu in association with Raj Uphaar, an initiative by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD).
GO FIRST has added rice chakri, masala wafers, almond thins and waffle chips to its in-flight menu on the domestic and international network. These products are made by tribal women of Raj Uphaar, a women empowerment programme of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, an initiative under SRMD. This initiative is part of GO FIRST?s commitment to the upliftment and empowerment of the marginalised sections of society.
As part of the introductory offer, GO FIRST is offering a 20% discount for online and on-board purchases till August 31, 2021.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, GO FIRST said, ?We at GO FIRST have led various initiatives for the empowerment of the marginalised sections of society. This innovative initiative is an extension of our ongoing social programs and is aimed at inclusiveness and empowerment of these wonderfully talented women at Raj Uphaar. We believe that the products rank high on quality and our passengers will love them. The facility at Dharampur maintains food hygiene standards and the Raj Upahaar also has the FSSAI accredition for its facility and products. We are delighted to provide support, even though small it may be for this noble and social cause.?

Raj Uphaar empowers many underprivileged tribal women of South Gujarat towards self-reliance and sustainable livelihood.
GO FIRST works extensively with various organizations and also actively contributes to various social welfare initiatives. It recently enabled the transportation of oxygen cylinders for COVID patients across the country.
