World Red Cross Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios

New Delhi: World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement . World Red Cross Red Crescent Day is celebrated on 8th May each year. This date is the anniversary of the birth of Jean Henry Dunant, who was born on 8 May 1828. He was the founder of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the recipient of the first Noble Peace Prize.

?It has been long we have been associated with this voluntary organization. Every year this day gives us the energy to work for the needy throughout the year. I have been lucky to make some short films under First Aid Program which were broadcasted on MSTV for many times. Our Radio Station Radio Noida keeps on talking about the relief programs and try to bring numerous doctors to propagate good health,? said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in a webinar to celebrate World Red Cross Day at Noida Film City.

The society?s mission is providing relief in times of disasters/emergencies and promoting health & care of vulnerable people and communities. It has a network of over 700 branches throughout India.The event was celebrated in association with ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, WPDRF-World Peace Development And Research Foundation and AAFT University of Media And Arts.
