Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Ramps up its Corporate and M&A Practice Group

New Delhi | August 12, 2020: Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan is delighted to announce that Gaurav Dayal and Amritha Salian have joined the Corporate and M&A practice group of the firm as partners. Whilst Gaurav joined the Delhi office last month as a Partner, Amritha has joined the Bengaluru office of the firm as a Partner in August. Prior to joining L&S, Gaurav worked with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) for 11 years and Amritha was an Associate Partner at Themis Associates.

Gaurav Dayal - Gaurav is an alumnus of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru and has around 12 years of experience working as a transactions lawyer for clients in diverse sectors including IT-ITeS, renewable energy, e-commerce, manufacturing, FMCG and food and Agri, financial services, technology start-ups, hospitality, real estate and logistics. In the past, Gaurav worked with the Delhi office of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) for 11 years where as part of the M&A and Private Equity practice of SAM, he regularly represented funds (private equity and venture capital), multilateral agencies and strategic corporate clients on a variety of cross-border and domestic transactions including acquisitions, foreign investments and corporate restructuring, involving extensive advice on various aspects of corporate and foreign exchange laws. Before joining L&S, he had a short stint at OYO wherein he advised the management on acquisitions, investments, debt transactions and provided strategic advice on general commercial laws as part of the legal team of the M&A and corporate transactions group.

Amritha Salian - Amritha is a gold medallist and an alumna of University Law College (ULC), Bengaluru with more than 14 years of experience working as a corporate lawyer. Amritha?s primary practice areas are Private Equity and Venture Capital investments, acquisitions and commercial contracts. As an investor counsel she has represented leading VC funds in their investments in India, Singapore, United States and Mauritius. She also regularly represents companies and promoters with their fund raise. In addition, Amritha also advises a number of companies on their commercial contracts, strategy and advisory on disputes and advisory and assistance with compliance and law on anti-harassment at workplace. Previously, Amritha was an Associate Partner at Themis Associates and Partner at Mundkur Law Partners, Bengaluru.
