December 13th, 2019 - In today's trying age in America, it can be powerfully argued that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's message is more powerful and essential than ever. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), is one of the oldest Black civil rights organizations in the United States, continues its strong history of recognizing this, as we celebrate 110 years of brave and proud social justice and community advocacy. In exciting news, the Denver NAACP recently announced they would be hosting a special "Freedom Fund Gala 2020", Moving Our Legacy Forward through Generations, on January 18th. The event will feature speakers, community awareness of Dr. King's message, and honoring his 91st birthday. This is an opportunity to support the cause of equal rights to donate and become a part of our mission. Sponsors are invited to contact the Denver NAACP to work out their level of support to help the gala move forward.

"This is always an exciting time of the year," commented a spokesperson from the organization. "But 2020 is especially important for Dr. King's message. His wisdom, passion, and example are more valuable than ever for all Americans so we can come together instead of moving further apart. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere."
The NAACP Denver 2020 Freedom Fund Brunch is being held at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel 3801 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80207.
