The Project Management Institute (PMI) claims that the PMP Certification exam will witness changes, coming this July 2020. The main reason behind the changes being that there has been some important findings in their periodical research. The regulatory body conducts in-depth field researches every three to five years. The PMI follows this protocol to keep the PMP up-to-date and relevant in the real world.

What are the changes in the new PMP Exam content outline?
The new PMP was based on similar work that would have been carried out earlier in 2015. But PMI is again altering the PMP examinations based on recent findings. Currently, the PMP Course is based majorly on 5 domains mentioned in the PMBOK guide. Starting July 1, 2020, the examination will be based on 3 domains.

On June 30th, 2019, the PMI published its new examination content outline and is justified as "radical" from all the contents of the previous examination. The PMI has stated within each of the above-mentioned domains in the New ECO that half of the examination will represent predictive approaches to project management and the other half on hybrid or agile approaches.
It is no wonder with numerous new subjects and approaches that the review will be more difficult to clear. The test will now include twice the amount of material in the review and will require significantly more time to prepare with the recently specified aspects of the PMP exam prep. The last day to take the current version of the test for the applicants is June 30, 2020. The examination will be based on the new contents of the examination from 1 July onwards.
