In the list of e-Visa India eligible countries, Saudi Arabia has made its place recently. In the latest update, the Indian Government has permitted the e-visa facility for the residents of Saudi Arabia. This move has been introduced as the two countries India and Saudi Arabia have been trying to improve their bilateral relations. So, in order to increase the number of visitors from this country, India has expanded the e-Visa facility to its citizens.

The applicants will need to submit legal identification documents that include passport and a debit or credit card to pay the visa fee online. After the applicant has submitted the application online with correct details and once it gets verified, a confirmation will be sent within 24 hours and the approval can be expected within 72 hours. The e-Visa will be sent by email.

The verdict to include Saudi Arabia to the list of eligible countries for e-Visa was introduced in February for the first time. India has also decided to give up on the biometric visa system applied for Saudi nationals. In the last few years, so many moves have been made by India to improve the relations between the two. This is why, in April 2016, India?s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Riyadh. On the other hand, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a trip to New Delhi in February. Apart from this, Prince Mohammed also said during his visit that he can see investment opportunities worth more than $100bn in India that can be made in the next two years. Both countries have been trying their best to improve their friendship and add to unity. In the future as well, you can expect more friendly moves between these countries.
