In their latest Express Entry draw conducted on May 15, 2019, The Government of Canada has invited 500 Federal Skilled Trades Class candidates with Comprehensive Ranking Scores as low as 332 for permanent residence in Canada.
May 15th 2019, Canada: This is the first program specific draw taken place since September 24, 2018, targeting the Federal Skilled Trades Class under the Canada Express Entry pathway. This score is applicable for overseas nationals who hold a certificate of qualification which certifies that they are qualified to work as a skilled trade professional in Canada, or hold an offer of employment from Canada.
Skilled work experience eligible for the Federal Skilled Trades Class comes under the following category of National Occupational Classification (NOC) of Canada:
Major Group 72: Industrial, electrical and construction trades
Major Group 73: Maintenance and equipment operation trades
Major Group 82: Supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production
Major Group 92: Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
Minor Group 632: Chefs and cooks
Minor Group 633: Butchers and bakers
This spells good news for candidates under the Federal Skilled Trades Program with CRS scores as low as 332.
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is one of three economic-class immigration programs under the Canada Express Entry system. The other two programs are Federal Skilled Worker Class and the Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates who are eligible are awarded scores under Canada?s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). These scores are based on the factors of age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French, etc.
