Schmalz India makes a difference with Cycle Rally and Tree Plantation

Doing business in an environmentally conscious way and using finite resources sparingly are permanently anchored in Schmalz’s sustainability strategy. The Global Vacuum Technology leader, Schmalz in India, today celebrated the World Environment Day, June 5, 2018, by actively endorsing environment promotion in two ways—Cycle Rally by the Schmalz India team and Tree Plantation at the Schmalz India head office, located at Pune.

With rising concerns over planet Earth, this year, the entire team of Schmalz India came together and organized this twin event to create awareness about protecting our environment. Today morning, the Schmalz team conducted a cycle rally from the Schmalz head office at Bhosari via the Telco Road to Bhakti Shakti Square, Nigdi, Pune. Around 100 members started the journey by 7 AM and completed the cycling by 8:15 AM. A team of 4¬–5 members accompanied for support/medical help. In the later half, the team members planted more than 60 trees within the Schmalz premises. These activities are in tune with Schmalz’s sustainability strategy of ensuring environment-consciousness while doing business and using finite resources in a calculated manner.
