This is a light-directed system where alphanumeric displays and buttons are deployed at storage locations which can be racks, bins or bags. Each picking container will contain a barcode. When an order arrives, the system will require the operator to pick an item from certain bin, scan it. The light above the bin indicates the number of items to be picked. The operator will pick all the items and press the lighted indicator to confirm the order. When no further lights are illuminated, the operator understands that the order is complete.
