As part of an ongoing commitment to the local community in Dubai and the wider UAE, the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has extended its support for Dubai Cares Walk for Education held at the Dubai Creek Park on 16th February 2018. The event provides everyone in the UAE the opportunity to walk 3 km in solidarity with the millions of children in developing countries who walk long distances on a daily basis to go to school.
Walk for Education, is a key initiative by Dubai Cares and which is in support of the 'Year of Zayed'. It is a symbolic 3-kilometer walk that highlights the obstacles of children in poor and developing countries, where they have to walk an average of 3 kilometres every day to go to school.
This participation falls under the hotel?s social duty and responsibility in addition to its contribution to the community service initiatives.
Mr. Simon Moore, General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, said, ?We genuinely appreciate the initiative of Dubai Cares, and we stand by any cause that represents the struggle of humanity. This walk is close to our heart because it gives the pride of standing with children in need. Education is a right, and we shall address any issue concerning it. Allow me to thank my team for hearing the call and walking in the shoes of millions of children.?
?Social responsibility is a fundamental factor of our vision and model. Walk for Education, like every social initiative we participate in, represents our vision of supporting the development of a better community. We are proud to contribute to any program that holds a humanitarian cause?, added Mr. Moore.
