What good is a handmade rug in today?s times if it fails to inspire the new generation of weavers and craftsmen. Traditionally, home owners and interior decorators preferred oriental rugs with intricate design and pattern. Such rugs take a considerable amount of time to weave, which is anywhere between 6-12 months to weave a single handmade carpet. These traditional rugs were and still are considered an investment since the value of such rugs appreciates over a period of time. Although these Oriental handmade rugs are still perceived as evergreen, timeless pieces of art, the new generation with modern homes prefer something more contemporary.
