ASQ's Support of Business Defamer Christopher Paris May Be Its Own Downfall

The American Society of Quality (ASQ) may find itself in legal trouble for providing speaking platforms for Christopher Paris, owner of the fake website Oxebridge.com

Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- ASQ leadership, including Randy Dougherty, the Vice President of The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) has been informed numerous times of Mr. Paris engaging in character assassination campaigns on innocent business leaders, quality consultants, accreditation bodies, and others across the country involved in quality management certification. Shamefully, and perhaps unwisely, ASQ has yet to take any action on the matter and continues to provide speaking engagements for Paris.

ISO Watch is investigating why Chris Paris, who recently filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy shortly after running into multiple lawsuits with businesses in New York and Ohio (https://www.plainsite.org/dockets/30qwijh5k/florida-middle-bankruptcy-court/christopher-mark-paris) is repeatedly awarded speaking engagements on ASQ chapters in Florida, New York, California, and Alabama.

The aerospace innovator SpaceX appears to have recently warned about his exaggerated claims of implementing the company's quality system for AS9100. As a result, Chris Paris no longer promotes himself as a SpaceX "consultant" either on his website or his Linkedin page. Overnight Paris removed from his website over 20 articles he posted with claims he made about working on SpaceX's quality system. SpaceX apparently does not appreciate the misleading and disturbing material published by Paris on his website Oxebride.com.

Records show Christopher Paris has been reported to authorities in Florida, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts for publishing false information about his competitors, and filing misleading complaints to two different Attorney Generals. The complaints against Paris cite he is utilizing his website to engage in business defamation, copyright infringement, and publishing fake news, all in attempt to harm the reputation of his competitors, and particularly any organization in competition with the ASQ-ANAB-IAF collaboration. However, ASQ repeatedly gives Paris speaking platforms.

Paris makes it no secret that his mission is to discredit certification bodies and accreditation bodies independent of the ANAB-IAF network. Business owners across the country, particularly minority-owned businesses are scratching their heads in confusion on why the once highly respected American Society of Quality (ASQ), continues to provide a disturbing individual such as Christopher Paris a platform to promote defamatory, anti-competitive propaganda.

The Oxebridge owner has long been promoting the myth that ISO certified businesses in the United States are supposedly ?required? to be certified by only an ANAB-IAF affiliated certification and/or accreditation body. However, the myth has been debunked numerous times, most recently by the American Board of Accredited Certifications. In The United States, businesses may choose the certification or accreditation body of their choice. Forcing a businesses to use any particular certification or accreditation body such as ANAB or IAF, is a violation of antitrust laws in the United States.

"Oxebridge with ASQ support is deceiving businesses by claiming ISO certificates need to be issued by a certification body that is member of the IAF, and that is completely false," said Dennis Hernandez, quality manager for a Manhattan firm. He added, "There are thousands of ISO certificates issued to businesses that are not part of the ANAB-IAF collaboration, including certificates accepted by major federal contractors of United States Government."

Mr Hernandez said more businesses across the United States need to take a stand against the The American Society for Quality for willingly and repeatedly protecting and condoning the embarrassing activities of Chris Paris by providing him a platform to promote his smear campaigns against competitors of ANSI-ASQ-ANAB-IAF.

ISO Watch is encouraging business leaders to join together and make a stand against the anti-competitive Communist website Oxebridge.com. Thus far, leadership of ASQ is ignoring the situation because they themselves are promoted in a positive light by Paris as the so-called 'authority' over its competitors." Hernandez said he believes eventually ASQ will be held accountable with multiple lawsuits.
