India, Zimbabwe join hands to launch Travel Council

New Delhi, February 25, 2012: To attract more outbound tourists from India, African country Zimbabwe today joined hands with India to launch a Travel Council at ongoing Travel and Tourism Fair. The Ambassador of Zimbabwe in India, H.E. Jonathan Wutaunashe showered his esteemed presence at the fair.

Other eminent personalities like Guldeep Singh Saini President, OTOAI, Karikoga Kaseke, CEO, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Ben N Cube, Head of China, Asia and Pacific division and Sanjiv Aggarwal, Chairman OTM were also present.

The Ambassador of Zimbabwe in India, H.E. Jonathan Wutaunashe said, ?India is a growing country and the people here are very keen observers. Every time, when I have interacted with any Indian I have realized this. They love to travel and capture the beauty of the world in their eyes.

Speaking on the occasion, Karikoga Kaseke, CEO, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority said ?I am in love with India and its rich beauty. It has such deep roots that inspires and attracts travelers across borders. The same way, even Zimbabwe has many interesting and beautiful spots to be explored. Wildlife and scenic beauty are the biggest attraction of Africa. We have also noticed that Indian?s have found new love to explore the world and we would appreciate and welcome travelers with warm hearts.?

The three day travel show with clear focus on outbound travel provides an annual opportunity for organizations from around the world to showcase their products to a large cross-section of travel trade industry and consumers, in all major outbound markets in India.

The key players in the tourism industry including national and state tourism boards, theme parks and attractions, hotels and resorts, travel agents, tour operators, online travel agencies, airlines, cruise-lines, railways, ground transportation agencies, MICE operators, travel-related financial products, and travel media are marking their presence this year.

OTM is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Host State ? Delhi, as well as travel industry bodies like Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), Association of Domestic Tour Operators (ADTOI) etc.
