Empowering Rural India with contemporary Nandghar project

Project Nanghar is the CSR initiative of Vedanta Resources Plc, London. The project entails construction of contemporary Aanganwadis across India. Vedanta has tiedup with the Government of India, through Ministry for Women and Child Development and PMOIndia.

The project is being executed by MAAD Constructions Company Private Limited, a MAAD Group company, using MAADCONCREWALL technology obtained from Schnell, Italy. The MAAD Group Of Companies has pioneered the world acclaimed Concrewall system in India.

The construction is thermoinsulated, blastproof and earthquake resistant, among several other features. Being thermoinsulated, it results in lesser carbon print and lesser energy consumption.

The children will get interactive playschool experience and also women will get interactive skill development training, in addition to medical health checkups, courtesy Vedanta Foundation. This will be implemented primarily in rural India.
