The Atlanta Falcons have jumped from #4 last week to #1 this week in the latest USN/NFL Rankings. The Patriots and Broncos remain at number two and three respectively, while the Dallas Cowboys drop to #4. The Cowboys drop was precipitated by playing the winless Cleveland Browns.
Breaking down the rankings by conference we find the AFC West places all four teams in the top ten, and the NFC East places three teams in the top ten. The Washington Redskins, the remaining NFC East team, is parked outside of the top ten at #15.
