? Mega annual tri-city meet outlines imperatives of #FutureOfWork in India
Bengaluru, August 24th, 2016: - Merit and efficiency have made Indian women excel in whatever profession they choose for themselves. Nevertheless, financial returns along with work-life balance is the only way for the women workforce in the market to swell ? that is the future, emphasised the LLOYD-SHEROES Summit 2016 held at The Hotel Lalit Ashok recently.
The meet was part of the 4th Edition of the tri-city Summit on Work Life Bank Balance, organized by SHEROES.in, the largest online career platform for women, in association with Paytm and Monster.com. The Bangalore leg follows the successful culmination of the New Delhi chapter held on 10th of this month; the concluding part of the Summit will be held in Mumbai on August 27th (Saturday).
This year?s SHEROES Summit, in partnership with Lloyd Electric & Engineering, is focusing on the core belief of the company -- connecting women with economic opportunities and work-life redesign; to meet one?s individual needs and tap into the #FutureOfWork.
Sairee Chahal, Founder & CEO, SHEROES.in, said: ?The SHEROES Summit is a place to explore aspirations and fulfill ambitions. With a progressive legacy business such as the Lloyd Group joined us for the Summit, is a matter of pride for us. As the Summit emphasizes, work-life balance along with financial access is a necessity in the changing workplace. It also highlights the importance of learning and unlearning and doing things which one likes. It is in fact a pointer to the need of professionals and entrepreneurs -- particularly women -- to be holistic in their approach?.
The day began with a CXO Panel discussion, the participants of which included Amit Somani, Managing Partner, Prime Ventures, Anita Kakar, Company Secretary LLYOD group and Saroja Yeramilli, Founder and CEO, Melorra. The panel concluded that there is need to involve your team in the goals of the company. Learning, growth and sharing are the guiding principles for success.
Of the Summit, Anita Kakar of the Lloyd Group, said: ?Lloyd is very proud and privileged of this association with SHEROES. When I was first approached I wanted to discover the meaning of SHEROES. Someone said, \'She Heroes\'. So SHEROES creates She heroes, celebrates them. We want to add on and help SHEROES in doing that. We will continue to work with SHEROES for events such as this to help bridge gender disparity at workplaces,\"
The session on ?Future of Work? focused upon how flexibility and remote work will be part of corporate life. Industry leaders Sakshi Vij, Founder and CEO of Myles, Sampad Swain, Founder of Instamojo, Srivatsan Chari, Co-founder of Cleartax and Dhanya Rahendran, Founder of The News Minute participated in this session.
Apart from evaluating and discussing on the prospects of career for women, the event comprised a therapeutic dance session, underlining the significance of keeping the mind and body balanced and stress free. The dance session was led by Ranjani Santhaman, Founder and Designated partner Palindrome Concepts and Solutions LLP.
The Bangalore SHEROES Summit concluded with the Good Girls Show, curated by Vatsala Srivastava, Director and Editor, BindiBottoms.
