Gary?s Gutter Service, Inc. is proud to salute Fanta Sissoko and Scott Fleishmann as ?heroes of the month?. They have been nominated for their contribution towards the community and making a difference. Fanta Sissoko and Scott Fleishmann devote themselves to selfless voluntary service. They have enriched the lives of others and exemplified the virtue of good citizenship.

A biography of who they are

Fanta Sissoko- An inspirational young woman

Fanta Sissoko, 20 of Stony Point is an ambitious, compassionate and inspirational young woman. As a Siena Collage senior, she has dedicated her undergraduate career to community development and social change. She participates in the Siena?s Bonnet service leader program.
Fanta has worked in numerous youth programs and has completed over 1,500 hours of service. She works on youth development at the Capital District YMCA, with Black and Latino achievers program which strives to aid youth in reaching high educational and career goals. She has also served as a Bonnet congress by representing Siena?s Bonnet program at a national conference. Fanta?s other involvements include: serving as a liaison, Girl Scout leader, implementing a youth yoga program, teaching literacy skills to refugees and an active AmeriCorps volunteer.
She also embarked in on 5 week global service internship in South Africa, which has housed, natured and educated over 250 Orphans whose lives have been devastated by HIV/AIDS. Fanta has accomplished so much in the community while maintaining 4.0 GPA in her major of sociology.

Scott Fleishmann- A gifted young man

Scott Fleishmann, 13 of Suffern is a sweet, generous and musically gifted young man. He takes pleasure in sharing his talent with the world. He started playing the piano at the age of 8 and has flourished as a young musician ever since. His love for music encouraged him to play the cello as well as the keyboard which he proudly plays in the orchestra and jazz band at Suffern Middle School. Scott performs at the Helen Hynes Rehabilitation Centre in Nyack. The patients at this facility are often undergoing extensive physical therapy treatment or recovering from surgery. He plans to continue with the concert for years to come because of the joy and smile it brings to the patients.
