Bengaluru, 29 June 2016: The Akshaya Patra Foundation which runs the World?s largest mid-day meal programme has launched Akshaya Patra app. The App was launched by Mrs Sudha Murty, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation and T.V. Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education at Vivanta by Taj, Bengaluru. Akshaya Patra mobile app puts the power to stay connected with The Akshaya Patra Foundation. It?s a user friendly app that tracks all the important news and events of the foundation.
The application is a virtual compendium that gives you every possible insight about The Foundation and its efforts to reach out to underserved children in India with the promise of a wholesome meal, every school day.

The App allows users to search all kitchen locations across pan India exhibiting the total number beneficiary schools and the kitchens in a particular location are catering to. Volunteers can use the app to create their personalised virtual fundraising campaigns while users can make hassle-free donations just with the click of a button.
