Forest Hills for Kids Launches in New York City

New York, NY  Nowadays, the pressure and expectation of today's society are overwhelming for most children. In its current state, society has not been more complicated or confusing. With this in mind, a growing child may meander without a cause, and feel lost or hopeless. Without direction, most children may unknowingly participate in non-productive activities that could undermine their overall character and their future. A new meetup called Forest Hills for Kids in NYC, led by Franswa Ligon, is being created to help teenagers find direction, increase their motivation, and live a more promising and fulfilling lifestyle. By connecting with current non-profits in New York City, Forest Hills for Kids hope to help more teenagers improve their lives. Growing up is hard enough and it's not necessary to do it alone. In New York City, Franswa Ligon created this meetup because he wanted to volunteer his time to help inner city children. By helping those kids early, they will find a reason within themselves to grow up with confidence while developing a purpose in life. When Franswa was a young Latin man growing up in Brooklyn, he'd recalled how seemingly harmless activities may cause issues down the road. Franswa stated, ??Growing up I didn't have access to many good role models. Luckily, there were mentors in the community who helped me along the way."

A herd without a leader loses its direction. While technology offers a chance to socialize with like-minded teenagers, these social media platforms can be very misleading. An experienced mentor can provide helpful guidance to an inspiring teenager or those children struggling with self-confidence or motivation. By providing love and compassion early in these young people's lives, this meetup will instill hope and moments of happiness that would last a lifetime.

The purpose of this meetup is to gather caring adults who are willing to volunteer time for each meetup to help kids and teenagers. By working with non-profit organizations in NYC, each meetup will consist of an initial meeting and then selecting specific non-profit organizations that are looking for additional volunteers to help their young people.
