Wildewood on Lake Savant Introduces New Fishing Season by Celebrating Packages in Ontario

The new fishing season in Ontario, Canada is welcomed by Wildewood on Lake Savant with cost-effective and group-friendly fishing packages.

Wildewood on Lake Savant, one of only two fishing and hunting adventure resorts located on Lake Savant, announced a new fishing season in an effort to celebrate their fishing packages in the eastern Canadian province of Ontario.

Wildewoodon Lake Savant opens the fishing season on the third Saturday of May, and closes at the end of September for visitors planning their Ontario fishing packages. The resort now offers an early fishing season during the months of May to June, midseason from July through August and late season running through September.

The resort also recently acquired a new mode of transportation in an effort to transfer guests to and from its remote location. The 2015 Ford F350 Econoline holds up to 17 passengers and is equipped with custom built 4-wheel-drive and an off-road conversion kit to ensure visitors a comfortable journey over the trail. This mode of transportation enables the Wildewood resort to offer its guests Ontario fishing packages at reduced costs, versus other resorts that are only accessible by plane.

Lake Savant features hundreds of islands and over 400 miles of shoreline encompassed in a vast wilderness area, making it an ideal destination for fishing season. Wildwood on Lake Savant offers world-class fishing adventures that have been featured on several mainstream cable television networks including TNN and ESPN.

Owner Matt Neufeld, who purchased the resort in 2008 said, ?My love for the outdoors and desire to share this wonderful remote wilderness location with others is what motivated me to take this path in life. There are not many niches or undiscovered locations left in this world, and I felt like I had found one at Wildewood.?

According to Neufeld, the most popular fishing season packages offered at the resort are as follows:

? Trophy Trip Package 7 nights: $1,400.00 per person (Arrive Saturday and depart Saturday or arrive Thursday and depart Thursday)
? Canadian Catch Package 5 nights: $1,165.00 per person (Arrive Saturday and depart Thursday)

Lake Savant is renown as one of the best fisheries in all of Canada. Some popular species of fish found in the lake include walleye, lake trout and northern pike. It?s not uncommon for anglers to land northern pike in the 20 to 30 lb. range, 10 to 12 lb. walleye and lake trout up to 40 lb.
