PALM BEACH, FL.--The PR firm TransMedia Group said it has been retained by Floating World Pictures, the producers of the documentary film FATHER JOSEPH, one of the entries in the Documentary Feature Competition at this year?s Palm Beach International Film Festival, April 6 to 14. Bob Schieffer of CBS News said, ??FATHER JOSEPH is an uplifting story of the difference one person can make in the world. If there is such a thing as a man of God, surely it is Father Joseph.?

The festival will screen FATHER JOSEPH April 8 and April 12 at The Palm Beaches Theatre, 250 S. Ocean Blvd., in Manalapan. The film is one of the 20 selected documentaries to be shown. TransMedia said that it has a special mission with this film: to bring attention to Father Joseph Philippe?s life-changing work, and inspire people everywhere with his courage, faith, and incredible determination.

?Father Joseph has overcome so many obstacles, and he?s never lost his vision or wonderful sense of humor. Through education for the poor and empowering peasant women, he is helping build democracy and hope in Haiti. I think it?s an inspiration for people everywhere,? said Jeff Kaufman, the director of FATHER JOSEPH. ?We are excited about TransMedia connecting people in Florida, and around the country, to Father Joseph and the film,? Kaufman added.

?We?ve already begun to facilitate some relationships for this film including U.S. State Judo Champion and Haitian decent fashion designer Shy Figaro,? said TransMedia President Adrienne Mazzone. ?Shy is a huge advocate for restoring and supporting Haiti and looking forward to meeting Father Joseph.?

Father Joseph Philippe, warmly known as Father Joseph, has survived political coups, assassination attempts, and the 2010 earthquake. ?The film shows how this remarkable man built the largest micro-finance bank in Haiti, a 700-student K-14 school, an orphanage, clean water project, a reforestation program, a health clinic, a radio station, and the first rural college in Haiti, ? said Mazzone, ?and somehow, he never stops.?

TransMedia said it will publicize quotes by celebrities like Willem Dafoe, who said ?This inspiring film challenges my sense of my place in the world and what my responsibility is to others.? Reza Aslan said, ?FATHER JOSEPH is funny, warm, and invigorating and one of the most inspiring, life-affirming documentaries I have ever seen.? Rainn Wilson said, "FATHER JOSEPH is a beautiful ode to a real modern day hero. Father Joseph Philippe has illuminated all of Haiti with his brilliant heart and his tireless work for social justice.?

?We intend to fill theatre seats, introduce Father Joseph to media, and make sure the entire film team feels a Palm Beach warm welcome,? said Alexandra Flugel, TransMedia VP of Social Media & PR.

?We?ll encourage the public to post, share, Tweet about the film!?
